19 January 08 Air NIGERIA INCREASES CAPACITY ON ACCRA ROUTE
… AS AFRICAN NATION CUP KICKS OFF
Lagos, Nigeria: 19 January 2008: As the 26th edition of the African Cup of Nations tagged Ghana 2008 kicks off, Air Nigeria in a bid to transport numerous supporters to cheer the Nigerian team to victory, has increased her capacity on the Accra route by introducing more flights and a bigger aircraft to operate some of the flights.
Also, Air Nigeria’s route network provides convenient connections for domestic, regional and international passengers wishing to fly to Accra for the games. A delegation of prominent Nigerians comprising Members of the National Assembly, former and serving governors, were today also airlifted to Ghana aboard one of the scheduled Air Nigeria’s commercial flights to boost the morale of the Nigerian Super Eagles in their quest to conquer Africa in the ongoing soccer tournament. While welcoming the distinguished passengers on board the Air Nigeria flight, the Director of Sales & Outstations of Air Nigeria, Mrs. Adeola Bali said Air Nigeria feels honoured to be the airline of choice for the delegation and other Nigerians alike.
She also noted that the Accra flights have been given an African Cup of Nations flavour in order to put the delegation and other supporters in a joyous mood to encourage the team to victory in all their matches.
“Air Nigeria is passionate about supporting football as it is a unifying factor that cuts across borders and in our little way, we are making sure that supporters are given our distinctive Very Air; Very Nigeria touch on board to make them arrive in style to cheer the Nigerian team to victory”, she further stated.
Air Nigeria has over time been supporting football as evident in the induction in September 2007 of the Golden Eaglets U-17 team into the eagleflier programme, the airline’s frequent flyer loyalty programme as well as supporting other sporting activities with flight tickets.
