VIRGIN NIGERIA’S STATEMENT ON FLIGHT VK 823
Lagos, Nigeria: Virgin Nigeria’s flight VK 823 from Lagos to Douala, today made a precautionary landing at the PHC International airport.
The decision to make a precautionary landing was a safety decision taken by the Pilot based on a warning indication from the rear cargo hold of the B737 aircraft. All passengers and crew were safely evacuated and have been accommodated in hotels in Port-Harcourt .Alternative arrangements are being made for the affected passengers to continue their onward journey.
